With acres of wide open fields, the location gives spectators an up-close-and-personal connection with the amazing pyrotechnic display by Atlas PyroVision. Over the years, this Chamber event has become an outing for the entire family, with concession stands serving hamburgers, hotdogs, and soft drinks. The well-known local band, Dave and the Daddy O’s, will be there to entertain audiences prior to the display.
This event is made possible again this year due to the generous donation from The Petersons, Inc., Real Estate firm.
Admission is only $2 per head, with no family paying more than $10. Parking is free. Gates open at 6 PM, and the fireworks display will begin at dusk. Because the event is held on school property, no alcohol, tobacco products, firearms, sparklers, or pets are allowed.

Thom Mayne is often called the "maverick", the "antihomogenizer", or the "authentic architect". He currently has his own architectural firm, Morphosis. He holds an architectural degree from the University of Southern California and a Master's degree from Harvard. He is also the creator of the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Among his many awards, in 2005 he was given the Pritzker Architecture Prize, the most prestigious honor in architecture. After the ceremony guests are invited to enjoy picnic lunches, and current MacDowell residents will open their studios to the public from 2-5pm.
